New Batman may well be English

UK actor Robert Pattinson is set to land the lead in ‘The Batman’, a media report says.

According to sources quoted by a media report, the actor is in talks to play titular character in ‘The Batman’ by Matt Reeves with Pattinson being the top choice and expected to ink the deal.

The flick is due to hit theaters June 2021 while the pre-production on the pic is expected to start this summer.

If all goes well, 'The Harry Potter' and 'Twilight' actor Pattinson will replace Ben Affleck who dropped out of writing, directing and playing the lead in 'The Batman'.

Pattinson’s participation in 'The Batman' is yet to be confirmed by Warner Bros.

In 2008, Pattinson landed a role in 'Twilight', based on Stephenie Meyer's best-selling novel of the same name
